Buhari’s Kano victory signs that APC will win Governorship election – Ganduje

Buoyed by the high number of votes recorded by President Muhammadu Buhari in Kano state, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje on Wednesday said the overwhelming victory by the All Progressive Congress APC candidate in the just concluded Presidential election was a sign that he will be returned as Governor of the state

The Governor stated this on Wednesday at the Presidential Villa, when he paid a congratulatory visit to President Muhammadu Buhari

He expressed strong confidence that the All Progressive Congress APC will also win the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

The Kano Governor who was the first to visit the Presidential Villa after the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC declared President Buhari re-elected, said the state was proud to have given the President his highest vote in the just concluded presidential election.

The APC had recorded a total of 1,464,768 votes as against 391,593 won by the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party PDP

Ganduje who is seeking re-election on the platform of APC, said the result shows that Kano belongs to the APC

“We delivered the entire three Senatorial and 24 House of Representatives seats to our party,the APC. What else do we want”.

“We are happy that we have delivered and we commend the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC for conducting a peaceful election , especially in Kano state”.

According to him, “INEC has done well given the challenges. We must help them to do better”he said.
