Election result: Buhari maintains solid lead in Kano

The incumbent president, Muhammadu Buhari is on a steady lead in the result of the presidential poll declared so far by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kano state.

The presidential poll declared by INEC from 15 out of the 44 Local Government Areas in the state, shows that the All Progressive Congress (APC)`s presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, scored a total of 419,344 votes, as against a score of 119,061 votes of the People`s Democratic Party (PDP).

Declaring the results at INEC in Kano, President Buhari 20,375 in Kunchi LGA, while, Abubakar Atiku got 4,983, in Garin Mallam LGA APC scored 23,810 votes, PDP 4,861, in Tofa LGA APC 19,984, PDP 7,732.

In Bagwai LGA APC 23, 375, PDP 10, 584, in Gabasawa LGA APC 24,420, PDP 6,130, in Bunkure LGA APC 27,232, PDP 9,528, in Karaye LGA APC 23, 023, PDP 8,265, in Madobi LGA APC 26,110, PDP 13,113, in Dawakin-Tofa APC 37,417, PDP 6,507, and in Ungogo LGA APC 51,842, PDP 1, 475.

Also in Minijibir LGA APC 27,725, PDP 5,870, in Garko LGA APC 22,356, PDP 2,840, in Doguwa LGA APC 25, 454, PDP 7,013, in Kabo LGA APC 29,482, PDP 8,955, in Kiru LGA APC 36, 739, and PDP 12,205.
