Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his retention as the All Progressives Congress (APC) vice presidential candidate alongside President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election.
In a statement issued on Saturday by Humwashi Wonosikou, his Chief Press Secretary, Governor Fintiri described the APC’s decision to retain the Tinubu-Shettima ticket as a demonstration of the party’s confidence in the leadership, experience and commitment of the two leaders.
The governor said the decision reflected the trust President Tinubu and the APC leadership have in Shettima, adding that it was also a recognition of the Vice President’s loyalty, competence and dedication to the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
According to Fintiri, Vice President Shettima has distinguished himself in office as a statesman, bridge-builder and committed public servant whose contributions to governance, national unity and policy implementation have been widely acknowledged.
He expressed confidence that Shettima would continue to draw on his experience as a former two-term governor of Borno State and Nigeria’s Vice President to support the country’s development.
“I have no doubt that His Excellency, Senator Kashim Shettima, will continue to serve our country with integrity, dedication and distinction in the years ahead,” the governor said.
Governor Fintiri also prayed for God’s continued guidance, wisdom, good health and strength for the Vice President as he continues to discharge the responsibilities of his office in service to the nation.
