The official portraits of United States president elect, Donald Trump, and Vice President elect, James David Vance, have got people talking after being released days ahead of the duo’s inauguration on Monday.
Both Trump and Vance are dressed in blue suits, white collared shirts, and blue ties, with Trump sporting a small US flag pin on his lapel.
Trump’s expression differs from Vance’s; the president-elect has his head slightly tilted downward, one eyebrow raised, and his lips pressed together.
In contrast, Vance smiles at the camera with his arms crossed, adopting a more relaxed pose.
The recent image of Trump has sparked comparisons to his 2023 mugshot, taken at Fulton County Jail following charges of attempting to overturn his 2020 election defeat to Joe Biden in Georgia—allegations that Trump denied.
The widely recognized photo became a fundraising tool for Trump’s campaign.
In a press release, the Trump-Vance team described the portraits as “go hard”.
