The microphone drew interest online after the video of the mic toss by the American rapper when viral.
After a brief police inquiry and debates around fan behavior at concerts, the microphone found its way to an online auction where it was sold for $99,900 after 120 bids.

The seller of the famous microphone, Scott Fisher, wrote on Facebook that the proceeds from the sales will be split evenly between Friendship Circle Las Vegas and the Wounded Warrior Project. On July 29, a member of the audience threw a drink containing ice at the rapper, videos of the incident show.
Cardi B retaliated by throwing her microphone at the audience member before security arrived.
