A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Edo State government and Siemens. This follows the inclusion of the company as key participants in the Joint Development Committee (JDC).

Onyeche Tifase, managing director and chief executive officer of Siemens Nigeria exchanging the signed MoU documents in respect of the Joint Development Committee ( JDC) with the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki in Benin recently.

The Committee, which has been set up by the state to sustainably develop and implement the establishment of power generation and critical infrastructure, particularly mobility within the state, is to enhance the economic strength of the state.

The Edo State government in partnership with Siemens is engaging key stakeholders in the state power sector with a clear objective of ensuring that power is delivered to the state. The Committee intends to set up a human capital development programme and make recommendations for relevant sustainable development initiatives wherever.
