The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Deputy National Chairman (North), Abubakar Kyari, has taken over the party’s National Working Committee (NWC)

Kyari’s takeover confirms the resignation of APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu over the weekend.

According to reports, Adamu tendered his resignation to the party’s National Secretary, Iyiola Omisore.

However, at about 10:40 am on Monday, the Deputy National Chairman led a team of seven other members of the NWC to a meeting in his office.

It was gathered that Kyari’s car was parked in the slot reserved for the national chairman.

Around 11:20am, Omisore arrived at the secretariat and joined others in the meeting.
