Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Lafia Hospital, Apata, Ibadan, Oyo State, Oladipupo Sule, whose son, Kayode and two other staff of the hospital were kidnapped on Tuesday says the kidnappers are yet to contact the families of the victims.

“I am presently at Ogunmakin police station as I talk to you. I am distressed and seriously devastated. My son and two others went to Lagos to buy drugs for the hospital and were on the way back from the trip when they were ambushed and kidnapped.

“We are still waiting for the kidnappers, who were said to be fifteen in number, to contact the families of the victims,” the CMD said on Wednesday.

The victims were said to have been kidnapped at about 7:pm on Tuesday along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The two kidnapped staff of the hospital are Opeyemi Abifarin and Dele Adigun.

The bandits were said to have blocked the Ajebo axis of the expressway and kidnapped the victims

The hospital’s vehicle, a Toyota Sienna car, in which the victims were travelling, was abandoned by the kidnappers but later recovered by policemen from Ogunmakin police station, in Ogun State.
