He further pointed out that the training workshop would always go a long way in equipping officers to know what was expected of them at all times.
“Human existence lives side by side with incident, it could be natural, sea or road. Whenever it occurs there are people to man the incident, everyone has a role to play, training is the bedrock of any organisation, when properly trained, you know what to do at all time,” the IGP said.
In his remarks, the chairman of Police Relations Committee, Zone 9, Collins Obi, observed that the training programme was a welcomed development for the nation.
According to Obi, the IGP deserved commendation for attracting the British High Commission as well as choosing Abia State to kick-start the programme.
He noted that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and the AIG, Hosea Karma, should be appreciated for making Abia conducive enough for participants to undergo the all important programme, and urged the Federal Government to make the training programme a regular one.
