…Rolls out offers on SUVs to mark 100th anniversary
Stallion MG has concluded plans to begin assembling its British iconic brand, MG cars in Nigeria, starting in the first quarter of 2024.
Anurag Shah, general manager of the Luxury & Premium Automotive Brands Division of Stallion Group, Nigeria’s exclusive distributor for the iconic British brand, disclosed this in its 100th anniversary message.
According to him, going into the local assembly of MG is a continuation of the company’s resolve to be part of solutions to the nation’s globally induced economic challenges, by creating jobs and saving the country of scarce FX.
“In addition to our best-seller SUV RX8 and HS, we shall also launch a locally assembled MG RX5, ZS, and ZS EV early next year. We are also motivated by the Federal Government’s incentive programme for the nation’s auto distributors and manufacturers,” Shah said.
Meanwhile, as part of the activities marking the brand’s 100-year anniversary, Stallion MG has also rolled out special offers on Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) for Nigerians.
According to Shah, the campaign’s theme, ‘Drive to Impress’, signifies the quality, technology, drive, comfort, space and durability of MG cars.
“We are marking the milestone with a limited-period, limited-stocks offer a great opportunity for customers to upgrade, as we offer discounts exclusively on the SUV model lineup. We are proud to testify that MG carries the quality and reliability that matches Stallion’s corporate values,” Shah explained.
He said that since the brand was launched in Nigeria in 2021, not a single case of engine failure has been reported in its workshops nationwide.
“I am bold to stress that MG is absolute peace of mind. The after-sales support from the OEM is excellent. Most importantly, our customers are very happy, which explains why we have repeat purchases from our corporate customers, and referrals from our individual customers,” he added.
MG Motor is a British automotive company headquartered in London, United Kingdom, and a subsidiary of SAIC Motor UK, which in turn is owned by the Shanghai-based, Chinese state-owned company, SAIC Motor.
Designed in Marylebone, London, and manufactured in factories in several countries, which will include Nigeria from 2024, today’s MGs are not only practical, spacious, and packed with technology; they are built with world-class components and backed by a comprehensive manufacturer’s five years or 150,000 km warranty.
Due to its consistent quality integrity for the past 10 decades, MG has not only maintained its position among the top global automotive brands, but it also remains the fastest-growing car brand in the UK, with a market-leading range of electric vehicles that is encouraging more drivers than ever to switch to zero-emission motoring.
In the coming years, MG will certainly be among the top five preferred brands in Nigeria.
Globally, MG has continuously clinched product quality awards. In its country of birth, United Kingdom, for instance, the brand’s critically acclaimed all-electric MG hatchback ended 2022 with a series of major award wins – including Bargain Car of the Year at the 2022 Top Gear Awards as well as three overall Car of the Year titles.
