Turkish giants Galatasaray reportedly owed Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen N2.8 billion in unpaid wages for January and February, raising fresh uncertainty over his future.
Osimhen completed a permanent €75 million move from Napoli in the summer of 2025, signing a lucrative contract reportedly worth about €21 million (approximately N33 billion) per year.

His package includes a net annual salary of €15 million, a €1 million loyalty bonus and €5 million in image rights payments, making him the highest-paid player in the Turkish Super League.
However, reports emerging after the close of the summer transfer window claim the 26-year-old is yet to receive two months’ salary. The speculation intensified after he was omitted from Galatasaray’s squad for their 2–0 away defeat to Konyaspor last weekend.
Osimhen was instrumental last season, scoring 35 goals to fire Galatasaray to the Turkish Super League title. His absence has fuelled social media rumours linking his non-selection to delayed payments and raising questions about his long-term future at the Istanbul club.
