Thrilling football weekend as Spurs, Real Madrid, Juventus face tough tests

EPL

Thrilling football games in the English Premier League, Spanish LaLiga and Italian Serie-A have been lined up for soccer lovers this weekend.

Kicking off the exciting round of games in the Premier League on Saturday is the clash between Leicester City and Chelsea, but the pick of the games is without a doubt the showdown between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on Sunday.

City will be looking to consolidate on their slot among the top four teams to play in the Champions League next year after Liverpool’s almost unassailable lead, while Tottenham will be desperate to get themselves in the mix of the top four guns as well.

Manager Jose Mourinho will need to inspire the Lilywhites to raise their game for the visit of one of his nemeses, Pep Guardiola. The two have a major rivalry which dates back to their respective times at Real Madrid and Barcelona and was continued in Mourinho’s previous post at Manchester United. Both teams had played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at the Etihad Stadium back in August.

Leicester City and Chelsea’s clash is also a top-four battle that every football lover will relish, while Manchester United will be looking to capitalise with a win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Real Madrid will be keen on avoiding a repeat of the goalless draw between both teams in the first leg back in September 2019, as they aim to stay neck and neck with Barcelona at the top of the league. Barcelona, on their part, will be aiming to avenge a 1-3 loss to Levante when the clubs met back in November 2019.

In Serie-A, the top match for this round of games come from the Allianz Stadium on Sunday afternoon, as Juventus host Fiorentina (13:30 LIVE on SuperSport Maximo, SuperSport Select 5 Go and SuperSport 9).
