A 100-Hour Cultural Marathon

The event brought together thousands of young Nigerians in a convergence of music, sports, gaming and creative sessions. From consecutive sunrise experiences to real-time cultural expression, participants were immersed in a shared journey built on endurance and identity.

MTN’s ‘Enabler’ Strategy

Operating under a partnership model rather than traditional sponsorship, MTN positioned itself as a facilitator, allowing the youth to shape the narrative. The concept was captured in the phrase: “The Gathering is the fire; MTN is the oxygen.”

Our strategic intent was to be an enabler, not an intruder. ‘Live It 100’ reflects our commitment to powering platforms where young people lead, and we listen.”

A standout feature of the event was the Pitchathon segment, where startups presented live products in an open, unscripted environment. Founders engaged directly with judges, investors and audiences, creating a rare blend of authenticity and opportunity.

Youth at the Centre of Economic Growth

Beyond entertainment, the event sustained high engagement across all segments, offering insight into the evolving role of young Nigerians as creators, innovators and economic drivers. The continuous 100-hour format highlighted a digitally connected generation actively shaping its own opportunities.

Looking Ahead

As the pilot edition closes, MTN has reaffirmed its commitment to expanding The Gathering on 100 as a platform for cultural expression and youth-led enterprise, signalling that “Live It 100” is not just a theme, but a long-term movement.
