Juventus have confirmed that Luciano Spalletti will remain in charge until June 2028 after the veteran Italian tactician signed a new two-year contract extension.
The 67-year-old, who famously guided Napoli to the Serie A title in 2023, has reportedly agreed to a deal worth €5 million ($5.8 million) per season. The extension underlines the club’s confidence in his ability to restore Juventus to domestic dominance and European relevance.
Vote of Confidence from the Juventus Hierarchy
Spalletti arrived in Turin last October following the dismissal of Igor Tudor, taking over a side struggling for consistency and direction. Since then, he has overseen a steady improvement, rebuilding cohesion within the squad and reconnecting the team with its supporters.
“Since Luciano joined our great Juventus family, he has had an immediate and very positive impact on our players, the whole club, and the entire Bianconeri community,” said CEO Damien Comolli.
In a video released by the club, Spalletti informed his players of the extension ahead of the official announcement.
“It’s important that I tell you first… that we have decided to extend my contract for two more years,” he said.
Champions League Push Intensifies
Juventus are currently one point behind fourth-placed Como in the race for Champions League qualification. However, the gap is effectively two points after the sides lost both meetings this season.
Attention now turns to a crucial fixture against fellow top-four contenders Atalanta, as Spalletti’s side looks to strengthen its push for a return to Europe’s elite competitions.
