Following a historic debut in Cape Town, the Professional Fighters League (PFL) has announced its second PFL Africa event, scheduled for Saturday, August 9, in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The highly anticipated event will feature elite African mixed martial arts (MMA) talent competing in the welterweight and featherweight divisions as the inaugural tournament continues toward crowning the first-ever PFL Africa Champions.

The headline bout of the night pits Nigeria’s Patrick Ocheme against Guinea’s Mohamed Camara in a high-stakes Featherweight First Round clash between two of West Africa’s top MMA prospects.

In the co-main event, Angola’s Shido Boris Esperanca, coming off a strong debut victory, returns to face Gambia’s Ibrahima Mané in a welterweight first-round battle.

Additional matchups will be announced in the coming weeks, with the 2025 season featuring 32 fighters representing 15 African nations, as PFL Africa embarks on its ambitious mission to crown champions across four divisions.
