Louis van Gaal faces Manchester United’s hate mob for the first time and admitted: I fear for my job.

The United boss was targeted for abuse after another shocking home defeat.

As LVG’s odds on being the next Premier League manager to be axed, the message from disgruntled fans was clear: We want him out.

The Dutchman, 64, said: “I cannot answer about the job because normally I communicate everything with everybody, so it is not for me to answer these kinds of questions.”

United had just one shot on target against Southampton  and even that effort from Daley Blind did not trouble Fraser Forster.

LVG admitted: “Yes, it was the worst reaction I’ve had from fans because it was very clear.

“I also saw the match and I can imagine the reaction was because of that, too.”
