Juventus step up interest in Victor Osimhen

Serie A giants Juventus have intensified their pursuit of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, according to multiple reports from Italy.

The Bianconeri are reportedly planning a double swoop for Osimhen and Randal Kolo Muani in the upcoming summer transfer window, as Dusan Vlahovic’s departure appears increasingly likely.

Juventus signed Kolo Muani on loan from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in January to compete and rotate with Vlahovic. However, the deal was a straight loan until the end of the 2024/25 season, meaning the French forward is set to return to PSG in the summer.

Reports suggest that Juventus are looking to extend Kolo Muani’s stay for another season, possibly with an option to buy.

PSG head coach Luis Enrique, who recently signed a contract extension, is reportedly not keen on reintegrating Kolo Muani into his squad after the loan spell.

Meanwhile, Juventus are also actively pursuing Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli. The Nigerian striker has a €75 million release clause and is not expected to return to Napoli.

Italian journalist Niccolò Ceccarini reports that Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli and his team are working on securing Osimhen’s transfer.

The club plans to meet Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis to discuss a potential deal. However, negotiations could prove challenging, as Napoli are reluctant to sell a key player to a direct Serie A rival.

Vlahovic, who has fallen down the pecking order since Kolo Muani’s arrival in January, is expected to leave Juventus this summer. The funds from his sale could be reinvested in acquiring a new centre-forward.
