Atalanta have rejected a €45 million offer from Inter Milan for Nigerian star Ademola Lookman, reaffirming their intent to either keep the player or receive a significantly higher fee.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan tabled an improved second offer comprising €42 million plus €3 million in bonuses after their initial bid of €40 million plus €5 million in add-ons failed.

However, Atalanta swiftly turned down the revised bid, responding with a brief email thanking Inter for their interest but rejecting the proposal.
Despite reaching a personal agreement with Inter on a five-year deal worth €4.5 million annually, Lookman remains under contract in Bergamo. The rejection has left the Nigerian international visibly frustrated.
The African Player of the Year has deleted all Atalanta-related content from his Instagram account; in response, a move widely interpreted as a sign of his growing discontent.
Lookman, who played a key role in Atalanta’s 2023/24 UEFA Europa League triumph, is reportedly eager for a move to the San Siro. However, the standoff continues, with the Bergamo club holding firm on their valuation as the summer transfer window progresses.
