Richarlison struck in the 90th minute to earn Tottenham Hotspur a dramatic draw against Liverpool at Anfield, handing interim coach Igor Tudor his first point.

Dominik Szoboszlai’s free-kick had put Liverpool on course for victory and left Tottenham staring at a seventh consecutive defeat in all competitions.

However, Liverpool paid for another lacklustre display when former Everton forward Richarlison struck late to rescue a point for Spurs,Softfootball gathered.

The result moves Tottenham one point ahead of relegation rivals Nottingham Forest and West Ham United with eight games remaining in the Premier League season.

Liverpool climbed above Chelsea into fifth place, but missed a big opportunity to break into the top four and strengthen their hopes of qualifying for next season’s UEFA Champions League under manager Arne Slot.

Tudor had come under pressure following Tottenham’s 5–2 defeat to Atlético Madrid in the Champions League earlier in the week. But his side responded with a determined performance despite injuries and suspensions.

Tottenham, who have not played outside the English top flight since the 1977/78 season, remain without a league win in 2026 but will take encouragement from earning a point at Anfield.

Liverpool took the lead through Szoboszlai’s long-range free-kick, although Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario will feel he should have done better after getting both hands to the ball.

At the other end, Alisson Becker produced two fine saves to deny Richarlison either side of half-time.
Mohamed Salah and Hugo Ekitike were introduced late on, and Salah had a golden chance to seal victory but failed to beat Vicario with only the goalkeeper to overcome.

That miss proved costly when Randal Kolo Muani outmuscled Andy Robertson before setting up Richarlison, who fired past Alisson to secure a dramatic late equaliser.
