Balmoral Group, through its sports entertainment arm Game Rush and in collaboration with the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control (NBBofC), recently held a rigorous training program for Nigerian boxing referees and judges.

The four-day course, led by renowned Ghanaian official Roger Barnor, gathered participants from across Nigeria at the Brai Ayonote Boxing Complex, where they engaged in intensive sessions covering video analysis, rule interpretation, and hands-on practical exercises.

Dr. Ezekiel Adamu, CEO of Balmoral Group, highlighted the significance of skilled officials in promoting boxing in Nigeria. “Boxing is more than a sport; it’s a form of showbiz,” he stated. “Investing in the training of officials ensures integrity and fairness in the sport.”

NBBofC President Dr. Rafiu Oladipo expressed gratitude for Balmoral’s support, noting, “Ezekiel Adamu’s dedication has been invaluable in bringing this program to life, and we deeply appreciate Balmoral’s commitment to advancing Nigerian boxing.”

Barnor praised the initiative, saying, “This program speaks volumes about the future of boxing in Nigeria. I am excited to see the participants excel with the knowledge gained here.”
