Arsenal booked their place in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals with a 2–0 win over Bayer 04 Leverkusen, sealing a 3–1 aggregate victory.
Goals from Eberechi Eze and Declan Rice ensured progression for the Gunners, who will now face Sporting CP in the last eight after the Portuguese side’s remarkable comeback against Bodø/Glimt.

Level at 1–1 from the first leg, Arsenal started strongly and twice threatened through Gabriel Magalhães from set-pieces, but Leverkusen goalkeeper Janis Blaswich produced fine saves to keep the scores level early on.
The breakthrough came when Eze controlled the ball on the edge of the box before swivelling and firing into the top corner for his first Champions League goal.
Arsenal maintained control after the break, and Rice wrapped up the tie with a composed finish into the bottom corner after latching onto a loose clearance.
With the result secured, manager Mikel Arteta was able to rest key players ahead of their Carabao Cup final clash against Manchester City at Wembley.
