The Super Eagles will find out their opponents for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers on Thursday, July 4, 2024. The draw will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The 2025 AFCON, marking the 35th edition of Africa’s premier football tournament, will be hosted by Morocco. The draw will include preliminary stage survivors Chad, Eswatini, Liberia, and South Sudan, who will join 44 other teams in the qualification race.
Held at the SuperSport studios in Johannesburg, the draw will see 48 countries divided into 12 groups of four teams each. The top two teams from each group will qualify directly for the finals in Morocco.
The qualification series will commence with the first two matches scheduled during the FIFA window in September (2nd – 10th), followed by two more matches in October (7th – 15th), and concluding with the final two games in November (11th – 19th).
