For a good number of years, Dano Milk Nigeria has maintained consistency in their massive commemoration of World Milk Day on the 1st of June. As the most engaged dairy brand in Nigeria’s social media spheres, the brand never fails to wow with tailored World Milk Day celebrations that carry Nigerians along both online and offline.
Since the days of Raising a Glass to Better Days, Dano Milk Nigeria has taken World Milk Day celebrations in Nigeria to another level, executing both fun and emotionally relevant campaigns that increase awareness of the benefits of milk and various ways to enjoy dairy.
This year is no different. With a campaign that challenges the status quo of milk usage in the breakfast occasion, Dano Milk set out to make Nigerians, milk lovers and skeptics everywhere ask, WhyNotMilk? The campaign was designed to get people to think differently about milk. There’s so much more we can do with milk and it can become part of every moment of our lives.
The campaign was launched on Monday, 22nd May 2023 and started with “WhyNot?” conversations that quickly made waves on Twitter where fans were excited to participate and create their own scenarios.
Dano Milk fans on Twitter joined the conversation, and it rapidly spread across the platform.
As the campaign progressed, Dano Milk decided to ask WhyNotMilk?, posing more provoking scenarios. Following these scenarios, the audience was also asked to share their own possible scenarios for a chance to win wonderful prizes.
In a plot twist we didn’t see coming, Dano Milk decided to bring back Milk O’ Clock, the famous World Milk Day activity which the brand deployed in 2021. This year, with influencers like AMVCA winner and former Big Brother Naija housemate – Elozonam, famous online doctor – Aproko Doctor, food blogger and chef – Diary of a Kitchen Lover, and a fan favourite – Mr Macaroni, Milk O’ Clock was executed seamlessly much to the delight of milk lovers and Dano fans all over the country.
As the custom is, major stores and locations around the country also got a taste of the Milk O’ Clock celebration. The brand also powered flash mobs appearances in different locations across Lagos State, organized market storms and rallies in select markets and neighborhoods across the country and engaged various consumers across major streets and highways on the benefits of milk.
All in all, Dano Milk came through once again with an inspiring and fun World Milk Day celebration that will live in the memory of many for time to come.
