Nigeria imported approximately $1.1 billion worth of patent drugs in 2012 from Pakistan, said Ahmed Ali Sirohey, a Pakistan diplomat in Nigeria, reports Pakistan Observer.
Addressing a reception hosted by the chairman, South Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PPMA), Nadeem Chandna, he said it was the most appropriate time for PPMA to expand market its pharmaceutical products in Nigeria.
The reception was hosted in honour of Ahmed Ibrahim Yakasai, managing director, Pharmaplus Nigeria Limited and other notable pharma industrialists.
