The owner states of the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo have approved the repositioning of the hospital in order to render adequate services as a tertiary health institution.
The repositioning would include a total upgrade of the structures at the hospital and the installation of some equipment.
Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State who announced all these said it would put the hospital in a better stead to deliver first class services and fulfil its objectives as a tertiary health institution.
It has also approved the immediate payment of all outstanding salaries and allowances of members of staff of Oyo state, Muyiwa Gbadegesin commissioner for health, stated in Ibadan, adding that aside the immediate payment of outstanding salaries and allowances, the hospital will be properly positioned to meet future challenges and perform effectively.
It would be recalled that the workers at the hospital had began an indefinite strike on March 31 over outstanding salaries and allowances.
