Grey Heart brings low cost healthcare to patients doorstep

Grey Heart, a medical consultancy which comprises of a team of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and residential assistants has come up with an initiative that provide affordable palliative home health care to its clients in the comfort of their homes.

The aim of the initiative referred to as ‘The Medical Concierge’ is to bring the best and efficient medical care right to the patient’s door step.

Adaeze Ibekweh, Senior Consultant, Greyheart Healthcare, said the services being rendered by the trained professionals  are not only for the rich, but also for the low income earners.

According to her such services ranges from emergency health care, care for the elderly patients to surgical stay homes; adding that the objective of the medical concierge is to provide whatever patients need without them having to go to a hospital.

“What makes us different is that when you call us, we come to you. The Medical Concierge is equipped and capable of handling  crisis, delivering needed first aid treatment before the full appropriate medical attention can be gotten” she said.

Speaking in Lagos at the official unveiling of the medical initiative, Ibekwe said, “The process of work is simple, with the team a call away – patients can call to set up appointments and The Medical Concierge will plan a schedule that fits its patients, helping both patient and medical personnel to work at a pace that suits the patient/ potential client”

Present at the briefing were Blessing Conteh, a residential Assistant, Afuye Oluwaseun, the head Physiotherapist, Joy Nzemeke a Nutritionist and Tina Oyobolo, also a residential assistant.

The medical concierge works in a way that patients can call to set up appointments and the team will plan a schedule that suites the patient especially considering the unique needs tied to their ailments.

The medical team at Grey heart is a unit of trained professionals that provide palliative home care to patients in the comfort of their homes ranging from elderly patients to surgical stay homes; the objective of the medical concierge is to provide whatever patients need without them having to go to a hospital.

The most unique service provided by The Medical Concierge is in the case of an emergency, the team is equipped and capable of handling the crisis, delivering needed first aid treatment before the full appropriate medical attention can be gotten.

The services are available 24 hours of the day, on every day of the week, including weekends, with staff and medical specialists running shifts between day and night schedules. The ideal shifts run between 9 and 12 hours.

Nzemeke who spoke good food for a healthy living said that classes of foods that contain protein and vitamins rather than frequent intake of Carbohydrate is a way of eating healthy.
