Skysat’s business plan for start-ups

Skysat’s business plan for start-ups

About three years when Skysat Technologies Nigeria Limited launched its business plan for start-ups in printing business across the country, it took the industry by surprise going by the assistance it rendered to small printing businesses.  The business plan, which was aimed at assisting small time printers to grow their businesses with cost-efficient printing machines, accessories, and trainings kick-started a revolution in the business.

It has, today, resulted in the establishment of a high number of digital print shops across Nigeria that have immensely contributed in the creation of employment for young people, and impacting positively on the socio-economic development of the country.

Besides, the company, which is a preferred partner and distributor of Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe in Nigeria and Ghana, has outlets and service centres in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Kano where German-trained engineers provide expertise, training and technical support to their customers in printing business.

However, it took years of perseverance and the passion of Izzat Debs, managing director, Skysat Technologies Nigerian Limited, to grow the competence and confidence in the business, resulting in the company becoming a force to reckon with in printing industry in the countries they operate.

To further aid printing companies and businesses across the country to key into modern business model, especially digital printing, Skysat Technologies recently launched the Bizhub Press C1100/C1085 brand of Konica Minolta, a top range production printer to the Nigerian business community.

The launch, one of the many events and series of exhibitions organised by Skysat Technologies in conjunction with Konica Minolta to promote digital print solutions in Nigeria highlighted the features of the new machine comprising color reproduction, low cost per print, high productivity, higher resolution (1200 by 1200 dpi), better paper handling (55gms to 350gms), wider range of size (A3+), better duplex/registration, a newly developed suction feeder among others.

Demonstrating the usage of the printer to customers and the public at the launch, L.P Kosalraman, technical manager of the company, noted that Bizhub Press C1100/C1085 is a one-stop-shop production printer, the first of its kind in Nigeria and also the most efficient tool for enhancing businesses and services of customers.

“With 100 pages in one minute, 5000 pages in one hour, 13,000 paper capacity, the production machine is offering lowest per copy in digital printing and also introducing a new revolution in printing”, Kosalraman said.

“We have been able to contribute to the success of the various print shops by allowing them to reduce significantly the cost of their printing production and provide the market with high quality office documents, letter heads, security documents, examination papers, newsletters, magazines and brochures at highly competitive prices”, the managing director said.
