Strategic engagement tops action plan as Orimolade leads Lagos NIESV

For the Nigerian institution of estate surveyors and valuers (NIESV), Lagos State branch, it is a new dawn as  Rogba Orimolade steps in as the new chairman of the branch with strategic engagement on top of his agenda  for the institution.

Orimolade, an astute professional and a Fellow of both the Nigeria Institution and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in the United Kingdom, was elected new chairman recently, taking over from the highly cerebral Offiong Samuel Ukpong.

He is described by those who know him well as a refined professional and stickler for precision and order. Orimolade is coming into the office fully prepared to work and to serve.  His action plan document which he tagged, “my contract with NIESV” is a compact and ambitious mission statement that is hoped to bring a positive turnaround in the institution.

In a statement in Lagos at the weekend, Richard Monday Olodu, the new publicity secretary, explained that Orimolade’s document  “is a contract that he has entered with the NIESV Lagos State Branch which he feels would establish the proper framework and structure for a functional and effective branch that would be able to assist the Lagos state government to fulfill its major goals in the built environment”.

The contract, Olodu added, has been categorized into  five elements which include branding, strategic engagement, public enlightenment, training and membership expansion.

The new chairman and his exco members will be holding their investiture tomorrow at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. The ceremony will be chaired by Modupe Omirin, a Professor of Estate Management at the University of Lagos. Also expected is Chidi Amuta, chairman/CEO, Outcome Communication Limited as distinguished speaker and special guest. He will be supported by JAO Olopade as special guest of honour.

The new exco members will also be taking their oath of office. They are Dotun Bamignola, vice chairman; Bridget Ndali Oranye, secretary general;  Tosin Adebowale Kadiri, treasurer;  Moses  Chukwumankpam, financial secretary;  Richard Monday Olodu, publicity secretary;  Oyeniyi Oladipupo Olagoke, assistant  secretary among other ex-officio members.
