…Says ‘Soludo should stop using slogan to confuse APC’
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Anambra State chapter, has flayed Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra for claiming that the state ruling-All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and APC were working together as progressives in the state and beyond.
The party argue that there is no evidence to show that the two parties are working together progressively in all political ramifications.
Senator Emmanuel Anosike, APC State chairman, made the disclosure at the state party’s headquarters in Awka on Saturday, shortly after the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected state executive of the party.
Anosike called on party members across the 21 local government areas of the state not to be deceived by the governor’s praise-singing slogan.
According to him, Anambra APC and APGA are not working together as being trumpeted by the APGA family and her national leader, Soludo.
“There is no evidence that the two parties are working together as progressives anywhere in the state and the South East region in general.
“If truly we are working together as progressives, the governor should appoint APC members into his cabinet as Tinubu is doing at the national level; or allowing some of our members to be local government chairmen or join the party, then we will know that the two parties are progressively working together as he claimed.
“The governor should stop using the slogan to confuse our members who are fully prepared and currently working day and night to ensure they deliver our working President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all the Anambra APC candidates for the 2027 general election.
“The newly inaugurated state executive under my watch will not allow the slogan to mislead Ndi-Anambra.
“The 2027 general election will prove to the people that APC has come to liberate the state.
“With the current membership strength we have now in Anambra, the entire South East coupled with the support of the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, their Enugu State counterpart, Peter Mbah and the ongoing massive road construction across the region by the Tinubu led-federal government, APC is sure of total victory for all its candidates in the 2027 general election.”
He urged the new executives to demonstrate diligence and commitment to the party’s ideals.
Anosike also called on members to remain united and avoid divisive tendencies, especially as preparations gradually begin for the 2027 general election.
He said the inauguration marked an important step in strengthening the party’s organisational structure ahead of future electoral activities.
“We were found worthy to be elected to pilot the affairs of the party for the next four years. Our role is critical to the growth and consolidation of the party in the state.
“The responsibility before us is enormous. We must be diligent in the discharge of our duties and remain committed to the ideals of the party.”
The chairman stressed the need for unity among party members, urging leaders and stakeholders to avoid actions capable of creating divisions within the party in Anambra State.
