Osun 2022: Obi in Osogbo, canvasses votes for LP guber candidate, Yusuf

Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate of Labour Party, has called on residents of Osun State to vote for the governorship candidate of the party, Lasun Yusuf in the July 16, 2022 Election.

Obi made the call during the party’s grand rally in Osogbo, Osun State capital, on Wednesday.

He stated that the party is set to recover the future of the nation which has been stolen.

The LP presidential candidate said now is the time for the electorate to take Nigeria back from those parties that kept the country in darkness.

According to him, “Vote for Labour Party so that your children can have a job, vote for people that will work for you. We want to change Nigeria and the only way we can change Nigeria is to remove all these people who have put Nigeria where it is for the past 23 years, this is time for them to go.

“They are owing salaries, pensions and those that are working hard were not been paid.

“But this will stop, once you vote Labour Party on Saturday.”

Also speaking, the National Chairman of the party, Julius Abure, said the Labour Party is the only party that has the solution to the problems facing the state and Nigeria.

” I want to beg you, no matter the temptation of the money they might want to give you, do not sell your future.

” The reason we had been in trouble over the years is that when they give us part of the money they stole from us, we will still vote for them.

” If you can resist the temptation of not collecting the money, do not take it, but if you cannot resist the temptation, take the money and vote against them,” he said.

In his remarks, Lasun, who was the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, said if elected, he would restore the state economy through agricultural revolution.

He appealed to the electorate to vote for him and Labour Party.
