The Lagos State government on Thursday warned members of the public against patronising touts as it begins weekend transactions tomorrow.

It says the new initiative will offer members of the public opportunity to access services offered by some key agencies of the government on weekends and ensures government serves the public better.

The state commissioner for information and strategy, Lateef Ibirogba and the head of service, Adesegun Ogunlewe, at a joint media briefing yesterday, gave a breakdown of the pilot weekend services to involve Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Ministry of Transportation and Land Bureau.

According to Ibirogba, designated government officials would be at their duty posts at their various ministries to attend to enquiries, complaints, site inspection and other related services, saying the development is geared towards enhancing government’s service to the people.
