Stakeholders in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano North Senatorial District have declared support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and Abba Kabir Yusuf in the 2027 General elections, while also backing Barau Jibrin, the Deputy Senate President.

The resolution followed a stakeholders’ meeting convened by the Deputy Senate President in Kano at the weekend where party leaders and grassroots officials gathered to discuss internal cohesion and electoral strategy.

Barau said the gathering was aimed at consolidating unity and positioning Kano North as a major voting bloc in the Dtate.

“We are united and focused. Kano North will stand firmly behind President Tinubu and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf. Our structure is intact and we will work tirelessly to ensure their victories”, he said.

According to his media aide, the support is intended to enhance coordination and grassroots outreach ahead of the polls.

Barau urged members to put aside differences and work collectively, stressing that unity remains key to electoral success.

Tijjani Abdulkadir Jobe, a Member, the Federal House of Representatives, said Kano North politicians are ready to cooperate fully with the Senator and support Presidential and Governorship tickets.

On behalf of Local Government Chairmen, Danbatta Council Chairman, Jamilu Danbatta described Barau as a transformative leader and pledged full electoral backing for the trio.

Also, Muhammad Bello Butu-Butu, Deputy Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, also praised the Senator’s performance, saying the district would reciprocate at the ballot.
