INEC presents certificates to Saturday’s by-election winners

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) presented certificates of return to winners of Saturday’s by-elections in 15 federal constituencies and three senatorial districts.

Seats became vacant due to resignations, deaths, and court orders.

Winners received the certificates at state headquarters, except for Taraba and Enugu. INEC had earlier declared elections inconclusive in those states.

The three senators-elect are: Ani Anthony Okorie (Ebony South, APC), Mustapha Musa (Yobe East, APC), and Pam Mwadkon (Plateau North, ADP).

The House of Representatives members-elect include: Umar Garba (Ngaski/Shanta/Yauri, Kebbi, APC), Ifeoluwa Ehindero (Akoko North East/North West, Ondo, APC), Faud Kayode Laguda (Surulere 1, Lagos, APC), Saleh Gabriel Zock (Kachia/Kangaroo, Kaduna, APC), Daniel Asama Ago (Jos North/Bassa, Plateau, LP), Rabiu Kamba (Arewa/Dandi, Kebbi, APC), Emma Ukpong Udo (Ikono/Ini, Akwa Ibom, YPP), Dr. Emil Inyang (Akamkpa/Biase, Cross River, APC), Peter Uzokwe (Nnewi North/Nnewi South, Anambra, YPP), Chinwe Nnabuife (Orumba North/Orumba South, Anambra, YPP), Adams Yakubu (Birnin Kudu/Buji, Jigawa, PDP), Yusuf Umar Yabo (Yabo/Shagari, Sokoto, PDP), Hussein Jallo (Igabi, Kaduna, PDP), Yusuf Dalhat Tafoki (Faskari/Kankara/Sabuwa, Katsina, APC), and Mohammed Buba Jajere (Fune/Fune, Yobe, PDP).
