Facts emerged on Tuesday that some federal lawmakers have commenced moves for the impeachment of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
Johnson Agbonayinma (APC-Edo) confirmed this at a press briefing and said that the “political gladiators” including members of the National Assembly are working with some media organisations to carry out the
impeachment move.
According to Agbonayinma, the impeachment move was premised on the issues raised during the recent investigation into the activities of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) on the N33 billion allegedly misappropriated by the agency which is under the purview of the office of the Vice President.
He noted that some of those perpetuating the impeachment move were those who lost return tickets during the last party primaries.
He however appealed to his colleagues to put the nation first as they perform their legislative functions.
