Group charges Kwara governor-elect, others to prioritise people’s welfare
The leadership, board and members of Oodua People’s Congress (OPC), Kwara State chapter have congratulated the governor-elect, Abdulrahman Abdulrazak and his deputy, Kayode Alabi on their victory at the just concluded elections.
The group, however, implored all elected stakeholders to prioritise people’s well-being and the social economic development of the state.
A press statement received by BusinessDay and signed by Bayo Ifabiyi, the state coordinator of the group reads:  “We felicitate with the governor-elect and his deputy, all Senators, House of Reps, House of Assembly candidates newly elected into various positions in the state.
“Our heartfelt prayer is that God would direct of them in the way to go and lead them in their new assignments in the state and the nation as a whole.
“We urge all elected stakeholders to make the people’s interest and the future of Kwara State a priority and utmost consideration.
“We promise to give required positive support in the new assignment whenever called upon as stakeholders in the pursuit of peace and harmony in the state.
“Our ancestors in Yorubaland shall assist all elected officials in the discharge of their responsibilities
” We wish them all the best in their various assignments.”
