Edo PDP congratulates members of Reformed APC

Edo State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has commended members of the Reformed-All Progressives Congress (R-APC) for the political will to break away from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

A congratulatory message signed by Dan Orbih, the state chairman of the party and made available to newsmen in Benin-City on Thursday also congratulated Buba Galadima, the interim national chairman of the R-APC, and other executives for the courage and strong-will for a new political chapter.

“On behalf of the state executive council and entire members of Edo State PDP, I, Chief Dan Osi Orbih, wish to congratulate Buba Galadima and members of reformed APC for their courage, determination and forthrightness in admitting that APC has run a ‘rudderless, inept and incompetent government that has failed to deliver good governance to the Nigerian people’ .

“Edo State PDP is pleased to hear the news of your decision to reform, refocus and give direction and leadership to APC. We are gladdened to know that democratic and progressive elements have come together to join forces with concerned Nigerians to rescue the country from the sinking, undemocratic, incompetent, clueless, clannish and unprogressive leadership that the APC Federal Government has bestowed upon the people.

“Edo PDP looks forward to your positive contributions to the development and nurturing of a healthy political space, overflowing with love and respect for one another.

“As the authentic and recognised chairman of the Reformed APC, we wish you well as you attempt to steer the rudderless APC to safety”, he said.

Orbih, who described Adams Oshiomhole, the factional chairman of APC, noted that it was time for him to embrace the inevitable change in the leadership of his party and submit fully to the leadership of Buba Galadima to save the party from disintegration.

He also urged the chairman of the reformed APC to be patriotic in his decision to be part of operation Rescue Nigeria.
