President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday received support from the leadership of the Arewa Consultative Forum ACF, as he continues the consolidation of his victory at February 23rd Presidential polls, with a pledge to work harder to justify the confidence of Nigerians in his administration.

The President, while playing host to the leadership of the pan Northern Organisation, assured the group of his unwavering commitments to addressing the challenges of infrastructure, tackling poverty, enhancing security and fighting corruption.

The ACF is the latest of the many groups to show solidarity and declare support for the President since the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared results of the Presidential polls.

Several groups have been struggling to outdo each other to be the first to congratulate the President, as well as promise support for his second tenure.

Leader of the ACF, Adamu Fika, while congratulating the President for his victory at the Presidential poll, listed the projects executed by the current administration which he said “ are of benefits to the North and Nigeria at large.”

These Projects were according “ were abandoned or had been on the drawing board but ignored.”

He listed the projects to include the “ Mambila Hydro Power, the Baro Dry Port, oil and gas exploration, as well as road construction and sel- sufficiency in agriculture “

“ It is pleasing to note that the Baro Dry Port has been commissioned , while all other projects have been activated and now being implemented”

They therefore charged the organs of government charged with the responsibilities of implementation of the projects to ensure that they are executed fully to their logical conclusion within a reasonable time frame.

Arewa Consultative Forum leaders therefore assured the President that they “will continue to support you in your determination to take Nigeria to the next level of peace building , socio economic, political and sustained growth and development.”
