Edo state gubernatorial elections

Bassey Otu, Governor of Cross River State

Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State has boasted that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will win the September 21, 2024 Edo State Governorship election with a landslide victory.

Otu, who was inaugurated chairman alongside other 362 members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as the National Campaign Council for the Edo State Governorship election, noted that the ruling would wrest the Governorship seat from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Speaking after his inauguration which conducted by Abdullahi Ganduje, the APC National Chairman at the weekend, Governor Otu, who was saddled by the APC with a similar assignment some months back in Imo State where the party secured victory and retained the Government of the State, assured Edo State APC that the Campaign Council would repeat a similar feat by winning landslide.

He urged the people of Edo State to embrace the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu, explaining that things the President had already done and still doing for the Country are enduring and would start to manifest in the nearest future.

“We will deliver Edo state to the kitty of the APC”, he said.
