Ademola Adeleke, Governor of Osun State and the National Leadership of Accord Party have adopted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s candidate for the 2027 general elections.
Pelumi Olajengbesi, the Adeleke Re-election Campaign Spokesperson, in a statement on Sunday, said the governor and the party’s National Leadership met on Saturday night in Osogbo, the Osun Dtate capital, where they discussed extensively about issues confronting the party.
The Accord Party leadership emphasised the need for the Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Administration to complete major legacy infrastructure works, specifically pointing to projects like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road and the Sokoto-Badagry Highway.
The gathering also served to strategise for the upcoming August 15, 2026 Osun State Governorship election, where Governor Adeleke is running for a second term under the Accord Party banner.
