The Taraba state office of the independent national electoral commission INEC, was on Friday
scanty as distribution of sensitive and known sensitive materials to it’s local government offices came to an end.
BusinessDay correspondent who is on ground at the INEC office, reports that the distribution of the materials to the sixteen local government areas of the state ended on Thursday evening.
Security men heavily armed were seen moving within and out side the Secretariat searching those who intended to gain access into the office premises.
The head of information department of the commission in the state Fabian Yame, said “the distribution of sensitive and none sensitive materials to our local government offices ended since Thursday evening”.
He insisted that the saturday’s elections were going to be free and credible, Just as he sue for maximum cooperation among stakeholders.
