The Taraba state chairman of the Social Democratic Party SDP Peter Achagwa,on Monday said the party would deliver the votes of all her members to the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) President Muhammadu Buhari this Saturday.
Achagwa said that following the decision of the national secretariat of the party to adopt president Buhari as her presidential candidate, the party in the state has also resolved to deliver all the votes to the president and has commenced the process of mobilizing all her members from the state to the wards and units to come out enmass and vote for the president.
He said that the presidential elections were just a few days away and the presidential candidates of the party were still enmeshed in court cases rather than closing ranks to campaign and provide the needed momentum to win the election, and so the party had to do the needful to ensure that the votes of their people count.
“You are already aware of the decision of the national secretariat of our party to adopt president Muhammadu Buhari as our presidential candidate for Saturday’s election. Consequently, we have also resolved in the state to deliver all the votes of the SDP to president Buhari.
“With just a few days to go and with our presidential candidates still caught up in legal tussles instead of campaigning, it is important for us to pitch our tent where the votes of our teeming supporters would count. I therefore call on all the members of our great party to come out on Saturday and vote for President Muhammadu Buhari.”
