Logistics problem persists as INEC officials wait hopelessly for vehicle

copers

The logistics problem which led to the postponement  of the presidential and NASS elections  from last Saturday  to today may not be over after all.

Many inec officials were seen stranded with their voting materials  at their collection centre at the Moselem College in Egbe, Alimosho area of Lagos.
There were no pre arranged vehicles to take them to their polling centres
Many who left before 10 o’clock for the election scheduled to commence by 8 am did so by Danfo (commercial bus)  or tricycle (Keke maruwa).
These were arranged by party agents at their own cost.  “We have to leave here fast because voters are getting frustrated,” a party agent working for PDP told BusinessDay
Some of  the Inec officials left in private vehicles which already questions the integrity of the voting process.
As at the time of filing this report,  voting had not commenced at any of the 10voting centres in Ward E visited by this reporter.
A youth cooper who is the president officer at Ward E 05 blamed the late arrival of boring materials to late distribution at the collection centre.
Another cooper at Ward E 30 corroborated that,  saying distribution should have started at 12midnite but instead stated by 5-6am
