Gov-Okowa-votes
The late arrival of voting materials to some polling units in parts of Delta has delayed voting as many voters were not able to cast there votes early.
At Abigborodo, Warri North, hometown of the immediate past governor of Delta, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, accreditation and voting were yet to commence as at 10am as materials were yet to arrive his poling unit.
Voters were seen discussing in groups as they await the arrival for electoral materials, while most of them were still at home.
In most parts of Warri, the situation was the same as materials, which had left INEC office as early as 6am, were still being distributed across all polling units as at 10am.
In Okpe local government area, the Speaker, Delta House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, casted his vote at about 10:30am after spending about one hour fondling with the card reader which refused to recognise his finger print.
It was gathered that voting materials for Okerenkoko ward in Gbaramatu kingdom, Warri South West, hometown of former Niger Delta militant, Government Ekpemukpolo (alias Tompolo) were allegedly hijacked.
In Sapele local government area, some voters were seen waiting for the commencement of accreditation and voting even as there was low turn out of voters.
As at 9:30am voters in Sapele were still waiting for voting to commence as there were no materials to start the voting process.
At Uvwie local government area, voters were seen moving about in small groups in most of the polling units waiting for materials to arrive as at 9: 45am.
