Governor Ishaku frowns at late delivery of voting materials by INEC

Taraba State governor Darius Ishaku,has on Saturday frowend at the inability of INEC to commence voting at exactly 8am as the commission earlier promised Nigerians.

The Nigeria electoral body at different metings with stakeholders promised to commence both acreditaion of eligible voters and voting in each of the polling units across the country not later than 8am.

The governor who made this know while voting in his home local government Takum at exactly 11:45am also appealed to INEC to extend the voting time in other to avail Tarabans the opportunity to exercise their franchise

Dan Abu the senior special Assistant to the Taraba state governor Darius Ishaku, confirmed this to our correspondent on phone from Takum where he was with boss.

He said “in as much as I commend Tarabans for coming out in their numbers to vote, I am appealing to INEC to avail my people the opportunity to vote by extending the polling time”.
