Buhari showcases achievements as campaign begins today

As campaigns for the Presidential and National Assembly elections kicked off today (Sunday), President Muhammadu Buhari has decided to first showcase his achievements and projections for the next four years to Nigerians before the official flag-off of the campaigns, said Festus Keyamo, Director of Strategic Communications, President Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organization.

Campaigns for Presidential and National Assembly elections start today (Sunday) in line with the time table for the 2019 general elections released by the Independent National Electoral Commission and in compliance with section 99(1) of the Electoral Act which prohibits campaigns by political parties earlier than 90 days before polling day(February 16, 2019).

Keyamo announced that, the presentation tagged “THE NEXT LEVEL” takes place at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa from 5pm to 8pm today and it would be broadcast live by different T.V stations.

According to him, “at the event, the President is expected to unveil two documents: one that will highlight his achievements in the last three and half years and will also contain other facts to guide supporters in the course of the campaigns.

“The other document is titled “THE NEXT LEVEL”, which captures the projections of the Buhari administration in the next four years if given the mandate again by Nigerians”.

The Spokesman of the Buhari Campaign Organisation who said the event is a precursor to the official flag-off of the campaigns stated that, formal announcement as to the official flag-off of the campaigns would be made in the next few days.
