Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has assured the people of the state that his administration would ensure even development in all the 18 local government areas of the state.

Governor Akeredolu gave the disclosure on Tuesday while receiving his Certificate of Return alongside the Deputy Governor-Elect, Lucky Aiyedatiwa at the INEC office, Akure.

Recall that INEC had on Sunday declared Governor Akeredolu winner of the October 10, 2020 governorship election having polled a total vote of 292,830 to defeat his closest rival, Eyitayo Jegede, who polled 195,791 votes.

Akeredolu and Aiyedatiwa who were accompanied to the INEC office by their wives and party leaders across the state, said, “Our re-election was a divine project. I want to assure the people that we will serve them in way that they have never seen before.”

“Whether they voted for me or not, we will treat all the local government areas of the state equally. It’s a victory that a few things have been established for the generations to come. We have made a statement,” Akeredolu said.

According to him, the APC worldwide was happy over the result of the election and appreciated INEC and all security agencies for their conduct before, during, and after the election.

Mahmood Yakubu, the INEC Chairman, who was represented by Ladipo Ogunmola, the Supervising National Commissioner noted that the election was highly successful.
