2019 Elections: Ita Enang optimistic over APC’s victory

Ita Enang, the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on National Assembly matters has expressed optimism that the All Progressives Congress will win the 2019 election.

Speaking at his country home in Ididep in Ibiono Ibom local government area, Enang who had earlier voted however expressed disappointment over the conduct of the election.

According to him, the election has fallen below expectation blaming politicians as well as inadequate security personnel to man the exercise.

Enang who did not give details of how the election has fallen below expectation declined further media interview saying that he was awaiting the outcome of the election.

It was gathered that attempts were made to hijack election materials at Enang’s polling unit but this was resisted by youths in the area.

Though normalcy was later restored and voting commenced, eye witnesses report that the resistance occur when members of the PDP in rhe area were denied access to the polling unit which is located close to Sen Enang’s residence.

A source who spoke with our Correspondent said ” thugs attempted to hijack materials, but we resisted them, thereafter they decided to prevent PDP members from entering the polling unit which is just around Ita Enang’s houae, so the people had to resist him to enable them exercise their civic responsibility,” the source said.
