2019: Coalition promises Buhari 10 million votes

Ahead of the forthcoming general elections, the Coalition of Buhari and Osibanjo Movement, COBOM has promised to mobilize 10 million votes for President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osibanjo, the Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Garba Audu, COBOM Grand Patron who made this promise Thursday during the inauguration of the National and State officials of the Coalition at the National Centre for Women Development, Abuja said members of the group drawn across the 774 local government areas of the country were armed with their Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs to return Buhari and Osibanjo at the polls.

Audu stated that, “this coalition has brought in youths from all the 774 local governments. This coalition has almost about 10 million people and these are die hard Buharists. They are ready. They have their PVCs come 16 of the February, all the youths that you are seeing here are going to vote for President Muhammadu Buhari.

“They have conviction in President Buhari. They have conviction in his work. They have conviction in the progress this country is moving and they have the hope that President Muhammadu Buhari is going to take us to the next level. This coalition is about 10 million people. This coalition is going to give President Muhammadu Buhari 10 million votes from the 774 local governments”.

Earlier, Austine Esekere, COBON National Co-ordinator, said re-electing President Buhari was a necessary task that must be accomplished for the continuous progress, unity, peace and transformation of Nigeria after 16 years of backwardness orchestrated by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Eskere vowed to take the message of the giant strides recorded by the Buhari administration in the areas of infrastructure, fight against corruption and all facets of the national life to the nooks and crannies of the country even in places where certain facts have been misrepresented about the person as well government of the President.
