Oluwapamilerin Akabunwa named as Partner, Famsville Solicitors

Famsville Solicitors, a prominent a leading full-service law firm based in Nigeria, recently elevated Oluwapamilerin Akabunwa to the position of Partner. Pamilerin’s promotion marks a significant milestone in the firm’s history, as she becomes both the first homegrown and the first female partner.

Since joining Famsville six years ago, Pamilerin has distinguished herself as an invaluable asset within the firm’s Corporate Immigration, Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, and Regulatory and Compliance Practice Groups. Reflecting on her promotion, she expressed that this achievement represents the culmination of dedication and commitment. “This promotion feels like a recognition of my hard work,” she said. “It also exemplifies Famsville’s commitment to rewarding perseverance and excellence.”

Pamilerin’s journey has been marked by continuous support and encouragement. She noted that, even while acting as the team lead for the firm’s leading Corporate Immigration, Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, and Regulatory and Compliance Practice, the Managing Partner’s guidance played a pivotal role in her growth and success.

Beyond her work at Famsville, Pamilerin holds key positions in various professional bodies. She is currently the Diversity and Inclusion Officer of the International Bar Association (IBA) Immigration and Nationality Committee, a member of the Membership Sub-Committee of the American Immigration Lawyers Association Global Migration Section (AILA/GMS), and serves as the Assistant Public Secretary of the Nigeria Immigration Lawyers Association (NILA).
