We’re constructing 4 sesame factories to boost Yobe’s GDP – Buni

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has expressed confidence that many of the ongoing legacy projects of the administration will be completed and commissioned this year.

Governor Buni stated this during the State Executive Council meeting held in Damaturu on Wednesday where the governor reflected on the preceeding year in which the State Government was able to execute several projects and programmes with positive impacts.

BusinessDay reports that the projects and programmes cut across many sectors, including healthcare, agriculture, education, road construction, empowerment, among others.

Speaking on employment opportunities and wealth creation for youths in Yobe State, the governor said that sesame processing factories were being built to boost the investment and economy of the State in such a way that the gross domestic product of the State would be boosted.

“And, as you are aware, Gov Buni has also built four modern SESAME SEEDS processing factories in Machina, Nguru, Potiskum and Damaturu. All of them have been 100% completed and will be commissioned soon.

“In the area of road construction, many road projects have been completed but all other major ongoing road projects will be completed and commissioned this year”, he said.
